I used Ore-Ida tater tots (duh) and D’Artagnan wild boar bacon (which I’ve been obsessed with since Christmas) for my experiment. The wild boar bacon actually turned out to be the perfect bacon for this project, because the strips are smaller and don’t overwhelm the tots.

http://metodosalargarpene.es/ebioer/3192 I cut each piece of wild boar bacon in half and wrapped a piece around each tot. I placed them on a cookie sheet and baked them at 430 degrees for about 18 minutes.

see The result was absolutely delicious and completely sinful. They would be fantastic with “special sauce” (ie mayo and ketchup mixed together), and also wouldn’t be bad with a pickle slice on top.
