A trip to the Pork Shop redux

I’m posting this again because it got buried in the frenzy of the book launch last week, and it’s just too good to go unnoticed. My friend Dean did an awesome job of producing it and it was a really fun project to work on.

A few weeks ago, I took a trip to The Pork Shop in Queen Creek, Arizona with a couple friends. We were able to peek behind the counter and spend some time talking with owner, Greg Combs, about his delicious craft. I reference The Pork Shop several times in my book, Bacon: A Love Story.

Son of a …”This is the only time I allow such tasteful advertising as a blog entry. :) I wish we had something like this down in Austin. A group of people passionate about all things porcine.I have to ask, do they compile your order when they see you pull up?

    I wish I was getting paid by The Pork Shop for all the advertising and publicity I give them on this blog – I’d happily take my payment in jalapeno bacon. :) Whenever I go in there I buy up like half the store, and they’re better off just getting out of the way rather than trying to help!
