Bacon and Cheese Fondue
-8 strips of fully cooked bacon, finely chopped
-1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
-1 package light processed cheese spread (8 oz), softened
-1 cup heavy cream
Cut both cheeses into 1-inch cubes and place in a microwave-safe casserole. Cook at 75% power in one minute increments, stirring before starting again. When cheese is hot and melted, stir in bacon pieces. Allow cheese to cool slightly while bacon flavors develop. Add heavy cream until fondue reaches desired consistency. Serve with chunks of bread and fresh sliced apples.
