A friend of mine, Todd, alerted me to this interesting little piece of information.
Apparently one of the many things Elvis Presley was famous for was an extravagant trip he took to Denver, Colorado in 1976 to pick up 22 Fool’s Gold sandwiches, which ended up costing him $3387.
This 42,000-calorie sandwich is made from a hollowed-out loaf of oven- toasted bread filled with one large jar of grape jelly and Skippy peanut butter plus a pound of bacon.
That’s a big hunk o’ bacon love.
