There certainly is no shortage of bacon-themed festivals this time of year…the latest one to cross my inbox is the Heirloom BLT’s and Wine Event in Napa next weekend.
For three days – August 28 thru 30 – the Hill Family Estate will celebrate wine tomatoes and bacon. Coinciding with the peak of heirloom tomato season and the release of their 2008 Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, the event will include a farm to table dinner, a tour of the Hill Family garden and a BLT party, concluding with brunch on Sunday.
The main event, held on Saturday, will feature 40 varieties of heirloom tomatoes and bacon from artisan producers such as Allan Benton, Nueske’s, Vande Rose Farms, Fatted Calf, 4505 Meats and Boccalone.
Following are all the details you need to attend this event. As tempting of a reason as this is to pop up to Napa for a weekend, unfortunately I won’t be able to make it – although it sounds incredibly delicious and fun!
