An article ran today in the Akron Beacon Journal in which I was featured alongside Michael Ruhlman (a culinary hero of mine…I’m definitely not worthy). The article starts out talking about my book and bacon madness and then leads into a lesson from Professor Ruhlman on making your own bacon at home. The best line: “If Lauer is the queen of bacon, then Ruhlman is surely its clergyman.” Click here to read the story.
I also appeared on Good Morning Arizona earlier today. The best quote from that? “Some people wanna grow up and be firefighters, some people wanna grow up and be professional athletes, maybe lawyers. Our next guest, she grew up to be a bacon author.” And unfortunately you couldn’t really see it in this video, but above Scott Pasmore’s head was a copy of Bacon: A Love Story that I left on set after my last appearance on GMAZ in May.
Last, if you live in the Phoenix area, come join me for a book event tonight at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, Arizona. The event starts at 7 pm and THERE WILL BE BACON.
