Happy National Pig Day!
I just spent a day in New York City because of a major bacon-themed project I’m working on that I will tell you more about in the very near future. But in the meantime, to honor National Pig Day, I spent an afternoon touring some of the “bacon hot spots” on the island of Manhattan.
Over the next several days I will tell you more about each of these individual locations. But to give you a preview of what to expect, following is a list of all the places I visited:
Ess-a-Bagel
Vosges Haut-Chocolat
Schaller and Weber
R.U.B. (Righteous Urban Barbeque)
The Flying Pigs Farm at Union Square Greenmarket
Gramercy Meat Market
Crif Dogs
Maremma Trattoria Toscana
Commerce Restaurant
In no way does this list even begin to cover all of the amazing places where bacon can be found in NYC. But I hope to make this an ongoing series as I continue to make future trips to the Big Apple. And if you have any suggestions, please leave a comment.
So be sure to check in regularly over the next several days for updates! Excuse me now while I go slip into a food coma…
