Wooly pigs are making their debut in the US market.
Also known as Mangalitsa or Wollschwein pigs, this breed has only been available in Europe up to this point. The dark, juicy meat is richer and higher in quality than the hog breeds typically raised for market in the US.
Rocky Ridge Ranch, located just outside of Spokane, WA, is the first to raise a herd of Mangalitsa pigs in the US.
